What stays on the phone
- Projects, measurements, notes, and photos you add are stored in a database on the device.
- There is no account. Sign-in is off unless a future version of that specific app says otherwise.
- Exports (PDF and CSV) are created on the device and only leave it if you use the share sheet.
Purchases
Subscriptions and one-off unlocks are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The app asks RevenueCat whether this install has an active entitlement. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user id, the product you bought, and the country store. The app does not receive your card number.
Camera, photos, and reminders
The camera and photo library are used only when you take or choose a picture. Local reminders are scheduled on the device. Neither is uploaded by the app.
Analytics
If the app is shipped with a PostHog key, it sends a random install id and a short list of funnel events: the app opened, onboarding finished, the paywall was shown, a trial or purchase started, a purchase was restored, a screen name, and an export. It does not send your name, email, photos, or the contents of your notes. You can ship with the key left blank; then events stay in memory for that session and are not transmitted.
RevenueCat can also forward subscription events to PostHog from RevenueCat’s servers. That is configured in the RevenueCat dashboard, not in the app binary.
Children
These apps are not directed at children under 13.
